About Gaelic Telecom

Gaelic Telecom is part of the Imagine Communications Group, the number 1 alternative to Eircom. It currently employs 220 people in its offices in Barrow Street, Dublin, Sandyford, Dublin, Cork and Armagh.

The idea behind Gaelic Telecom was simple - members and supporters of a local GAA Club switch to Gaelic Telecom and generate funds for their local GAA Club and save money on their monthly phone bill.

On the 26th May 2004, Gaelic Telecom was officially launched in Croke Park by Sean O'Ceallaigh, Iar Uachtaran Cumann Luthcleas Gael and the then Minister of Communications, Dermot Aherne TD.

Since it's launch, Gaelic Telecom's partnership with the GAA has grown from strength to strength.

The scheme has been endorsed by all 32 County Boards who are registered with us, and over 3,000 GAA, Camogie, Ladies Football Clubs and National Schools have already benefited financially from this hugely successful fundraising initiative.

In addition to already raising €3.9million for all Clubs, Gaelic Telecom has also been involved in funding several other key GAA events and initiatives.

These include:

  • The GAA National Congress
  • The Club Development Manual
  • The National Club Forum
  • The Club Officer Program 2008
  • Cumann Na mBunscol
